Product under development: PEEK heat-shrinkable tube

PEEK heat-shrinkable tube

  • Product under development
Material: PEEK super engineering plastic

PEEK is known for its superb heat and chemical resistance and is used in applications requiring high durability. It is ideal as a material for medical equipment and tools and as a substitute for metal components. Gunze has given this PEEK tube heat shrinkability, and by covering it onto media gives non-conductivity and protection from water, corrosion, and heat.

Technology

Simple covering
Conventionally, PEEK shrinkable tube has required temperatures of at least 320°C for shrinkage, but Gunze has designed this product to begin shrinkage at a low temperature (150°C). This simplifies the covering of media and makes it easier to give them PEEK characteristics.
