DURAWAVE™

Polyglycolic acid (PGA) based absorbable artificial dural substitute

Features

DURAWAVE is an absorbable artificial dural substitute made of PGA felt and is used as a prosthetic material for dura mater defects.
By applying DURAWAVE in combination with fibrin sealant, surgeons can operate without suturing, alleviating the burden on the patients.

DURAWAVE gradually dissolves via hydrolysis and is absorbed in approximately 15 weeks. Unlike non-absorbable dural material, when using DURAWAVE there is low risk of foreign-body reaction.
