“Heptax” Nylon Film
By maximizing our core co-extrusion technology,
Gunze became the first in the world to
commercialize a biaxially-oriented nylon film with a
7-layer structure of five different compositions
using a T-die. Called GNY, this special film for gas
barrier applications has enjoyed steadily increasing
sales since it was first released to
the market in 1991, largely through its reputation
for eco-conscious functionality. At present, Heptax
is not only used for confectionery, rice cake, dairy
product and meat packaging but also for medical and
industrial applications. Exports are also being
promoted for a steadily expanding marketplace. |
