Gunze Sports and Kurashiki City Sign Disaster Support Agreement The agreement provides emergency evacuation facilities and exercise programs to support evacuees during disasters
Osaka-Gunze Limited (Headquarters: Osaka, Japan; President: Toshiyasu Saguchi) [TOKYO:3002] is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Gunze Sports Co., Ltd. has entered into an “Agreement Concerning Facility Use during Disasters and Exercise Support at Evacuation Centers” with Kurashiki City in Okayama
Under this agreement, the Ivy Square Club in Kurashiki, operated by Gunze Sports, will be made available as a temporary emergency evacuation site in the event of a disaster or imminent risk of one. Additionally, if evacuation periods are prolonged, Gunze Sports will provide exercise support for evacuees. The company will leverage its professional expertise to help prevent physical decline and maintain health at evacuation centers.

Background and Purpose of the Agreement

Main Areas of Support and Cooperation
・Provision of Facilities as Emergency Evacuation Sites Sports club facilities will be opened as temporary evacuation sites during disasters or when there is a risk of disaster.
・Exercise Support to Prevent Physical Decline Among Evacuees
In the case of prolonged evacuations, qualified instructors will provide exercise guidance to help maintain physical function and overall well-being.
・Disaster Preparedness Awareness During Normal Times
Gunze Sports will participate in disaster prevention events organized by Kurashiki City and collaborate on awareness activities to enhance residents’ disaster preparedness.
