Bioabsorbable Surgical Suture Thread

The first bioabsorbable surgical suture thread was made in Japan, this product is now exported to various countries overseas. The suture thread reduces stress for the patients due to the gradual absorption into the body, furthermore it eliminates the need for a post-surgery suture removal procedure.

Absorbable Reinforcement Felt

In collaboration with Gunze's textile department and their textile processing, Gunze developed a bioabsorbable reinforcement felt which is mostly used to support sutured lungs, bronchial tubes and other delicate tissues.

Bioabsorbable Bone Fixation Devices

Gunze's bioabsorbable bone fixation devices absorb gradually inside the body, thereby it eliminates the need for a follow-up surgery.

Artificial Dermis

Gunze's artificial dermis consists of two layers, a collagen sponge and a silicon film. When the product is applied on burns or other wounds (skin defects and trauma), the collagen sponge aids the tissue regeneration of the patient's damaged skin.

Medical Stockings

Gunze's elastic medical stockings help to reduce and prevent venous and lymph stasis in the legs. Based on Gunze's high quality hosiery production techniques, the stockings fit comfortably and allow an easy wear and removal.

Artificial dura mater

A sutureless synthetic absorbable artificial dura mater which is to be used in combination with a biological tissue adhesive for a cerebral dura mater defect. It is a non-woven fabric with elasticity characteristic.

Absorbable adhesion barrier sheet

An absorbent anti-adhesive film consisting of gelatin with concave-convex surface. GUNZE’s proprietary technology enables it is both strong and flexible, as well as easy to use.

Helmet for infants’ positional skull deformation

The prosthetic helmets for the babies with cranial dysmorphia. ReMo baby is patient-specifically designed and manufactured with Japanese quality. The treatment with the helmet is designated to the babies ages from 4 to 8 months for approximately 5 months.
